Special-K i like that door mat. We only got 3 inched down this way. I miss Pennsylvania and the constant lake effect snows. I love the white stuff! Give me a beat up cavalier with a hand operated e-brake and I could have fun for hours.

i have to be at work at 7, which gets me outta bed at 5:45 to 6 in the am. Kinda blows, I had been workin 6 to 2 for a few years and I miss it. I know how you guys feel about having to leave your vehicles in the snow. My gmc is in the garage but i messed around and never got a storage unit for my camaro so its out in the driveway with a car cover on it that has about 4 inches of snow on it... I have a hard time thinking of what it would be like for all you guys that have never seen snow. While i'm not a fan of the cold i do like to drive around in the snow. For those of you that have never driven(or even seen) snow just imagine having so much power that when you give it 1/4 throttle you can whip it clear around and when you let off the gas it wants to just keep slideing around.

I lost my big old shop and need to get my garage built here.But,I want to move,so...
This was all powder so I took my leaf blower out and blew it off everything,Including my driveway.I never touched a shovel.It`s supposed to rain tommorrow night and be near 60 by next week.We call it pneumonia weather.

Can you guys run studded snow tires? I used to have a '70 volvo when I lived in Utah, and I had to go over Guardsman Pass on Interstate 80 at 2:00 in the morning (elevation around 8800 ft) to get home from my job(from Salt Lake to Heber), and during big storms, they didn't bother plowing all night. There would be 10 inches of snow on the road, and I would put that old turd in 3rd gear and just chug up the hill. It was much, much nicer than the brand new Nissan picup we had at the time. Wasn't too fast, it weighed about 8,000 lbs, but boy in the snow it was in it's element.

20 years ago my little brother bought a 1970 LTD that had studded tires in the back. We were growing up in St. Paul. He drove that thing around the summer he bought it with those studded tires still on because we didn't have any money for an extra set of tires. About 2 months in to it a St. Paul cop pulled him over and issued him a ticket. He said he heard him 2 blocks away.

Yeah it was an older cop. I suppose these young guys today patrolling our streets that grew up driving mom's Accord wouldn't have a clue about what studs sound like on the pavement.

You should have see what he did to black top when he peeled out - before the ticket. Which is why there are illegal in most places now.

We got hammered with snow, 15-18". After driving my dads GMC without studded snows, and my Chevy with studded snows, I know one thing: Anymore trucks I ever own are gonna get studded snow tires for the winter, because they handle so much better IMO.
