Red face WTB: coolant expansion/overflow tank

Ok I have a 68 and i know that there wasn't an overflow on these trucks. mine is regularly barfing a bit on the ground. I believe that a recovery/expansion/over flow will likely solve my delima. If any one has one that they are willing to part with please let me kow.

Thank you.....

Re: WTB: coolant expansion/overflow tank

I'm planning on running a JAZ overflow bottle mounted to the core support. My local speed shop sells them for $19.99. They work great.

Re: WTB: coolant expansion/overflow tank

i know it's a long shot, but my 72 army 1/2 actually has a factory overflow tank. you might try looking for one if you want to stay original.

Re: WTB: coolant expansion/overflow tank

with a regualr cap all they'll do is overflow in tot he tank, not suck any back into the radiator.. so you'll want to get a newer cap from like a mid 80's truck or somthing.

Re: WTB: coolant expansion/overflow tank

I went to the junk yard and found one from a 80's Grand Prix that works nice and even looks stock. I mounted it to the passenger side fender well. It is one with one outlet. The antifreeze goes both in and out of the tank with only one outlet tube. Cost was $5.
