Re: C-notch or not?

How low do you want to go? If it is more that 5" in the rear then yes I would do a bolt in notch. This will not cut into the bed floor but allow room for suspension travel and bed use of haulin.

c10addict Well I wanted to find a drool icon, no luck. But you get what I'm thinking!

Re: C-notch or not?

on a truck that lowered enough that you need a c-notch theres no way you can haul anything that has any weight to it or you,ll bottom out the diff. on the c-notch. cant have your cake and eat it too on this mod. same goes for towing if you have alot of tongue weight....

I have a leaf sprung rear end with an air-over-leaf system. It is basically exactly what you would buy if you wanted to increase your load capacity. I also installed a C-notch and have my bumpstops set so that the top of the pumpkin is a little less than an inch off the bottom of the wood floor. The first picture is just a little lower than ride height, the second is aired-out.

Cool .

At the end of the day, as long as you install bags with enough capacity to handle what you want to tow or haul, the sky is the limit. Semis have been on air ride for years and you don't see them broken down with suspension problems too often. The other nice thing about bags is that you can adjust your ride height. I didn't install mine because I wanted to hop around... Primarily it was because I didn't quite get the stance I wanted with the static drop I had installed. Figured for the time and effort it would take me to tweak it again, I may as well bag it.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
