What to look for in 65 Chevy???
I'm a new guy to this forum. I've spotted a 65 chevy shortbed stepside that I'm look to buy next week. Is there anything I should look for or keep in mind as I'm finalizing the deal?? Here are some pics of the truck. According to the owner is has stock 4 wheel drive. Does this sound right?? Thanks for the help.

Re: What to look for in 65 Chevy???
looks to be a pretty straight truck to me chevy and gmc did offer 4x4s factory the were not from napco they wereall in house there is a good posibilty that its got stock running rear but check the vin and if it has a k in it then ist a factory 4x4 be on the look out for rockers floor boards front fender core support cab cornors to be rotted out if its all rusted out in those areas its not a bfd but if the windsheild chanell is rotted out that is gonna be hard and expensive to fix and if it runs your good but if its one of those it ran when parked stories check if it runs if not use the fact that it doesnot run to drive the price lower cuz that motor could be seized or any # of things bad the grille on that is from a 63 but the trucks is a 65 as u said looks like they cut the dash to jury rig that tilt colum which turnd out bad the wiring looks a lot like my 65 4x4 un organized and usable use the fact of rust and and any other negitive to drive the price down cuz th only better thing than a new old truck is a new old truck that was cheep
