Post X memeber swap

Well i did the swap after work. Me and a buddy did it at the shop.Went without a hitch, just need to drill the two holes yet and it is complete. who would of thought it was such an esy swap with 11years between the two trucks. Now i just need my drop spindles.

Ain't Chevys great? Heck, with a F--- you can't even swap radiator caps in the same model year!

Hey Dean, are you talking front corssmember for brakes? If so, what year is your truck and what was the donor x-member off of? I am thinking of doing this on a 70, but I was not sure if I had to have 71-72 x-member, or if I could just find like a 73-80 or something like that and throw it on. I would hate to have to gut a 71-72 just for brake reasons.

My truck is a 68. The x member is from a 79. it pretty much bolted up with the exception of drilling 2 hole and modifying 2 others. i would recommend it to others looking for front discs.
