Hard top sliding windows
Not quite the same as the later year K5 sliders, but here is a clean looking 1st gen Jimmy with some sliding windows.

Re: Hard top sliding windows
That is a nice lookin' rig. I wouldn't mind having sliding windows, but the few I've seen for sale were big $$$$$.

Re: Hard top sliding windows
I like the later year model K5 sliders more than those. Those look kinda like rear pickup window sliders. But just to have some would be cool.
I'm in Austin. Actually closer to Buda. I got my Jimmy about 2 years ago and maybe driven it 5 times. It is registered, insured and road worthy. Although a full resto is the plan, another project and lack of time have kept me from touching the Jimmy since I got it. All I've done is take off the top (easier to store stuff in it) and remove the old carpet! Its a 350 4x4 AC PS PB '70 model. Looks like PO put a little lift on it and the seats are not the correct utility buckets. They are CST or similar ones. Got the usual rust in outer rockers and drivers floor near the kick panel. A little here and there but pretty solid. Last edited by k-nuts; 12-10-2007 at 04:18 PM. |

Re: Hard top sliding windows
A company called C.R.LAURENCE used to make POWER sliders for the side windows on the blazers about 17-18 yrs ago. THey had them for '68 all the way up to '91 models.
