T-case to frame please help

I took a mounting bracket off a `69 blazer today and bolted it to my frame, now the bolts that go in the right side of the T-Case will not go in.I took the upper transmission mounts out & they almost line up. the mounts seem too thick, they are 1 1/8in.thick I called Carquest they only show one from `68 to `81.pn#31-2107 which is what I bought. Maybe i have to drill holes in my frame? I would appreciate any input,Thanks Philip

Re: T-case to frame please help

Do you have the correct factory crossmember for the TH350/NP205 combo?

Re: T-case to frame please help

The side mounting bracket you have from the 69 K5 may be for a Dana 20 transfer case instead of an NP205. Can't guarantee they are different, but I know the crossmember is different for a Dana 20 compared to the NP205 so likely the side bracket is different too.

Yep, what he said. Machine some spacers for it and run it.

Re: T-case to frame please help

Your transfer case might also hit the floor pan if you try to use the crossmember that you have.

Re: T-case to frame please help

If that crossmember was from a 221 then that's your problem. There's a 1 in difference in height between the 221 & the 205 crossmembers. You need to get a crossmember from a truck ( 69-72 )that had a np205 t-case, standard or auto dosen't matter there both the same. I'm not sure about the torque mount that may also be different.

Re: T-case to frame please help

I should have added, I used 1" spacers to lower my Dana 20 transfer case crossmember to fit my NP205. Otherwise the NP205 was hitting the floor like mentioned above in relation to the Rockwell T221 crossmember.

Any chance you can get some comparison pics, always nice to have pics to show differences.
