I relocated mine under the rear of the bed . The filler neck , because of the design of the tank , is through the bed behind the drivers side rear wheel tub . I have pictures posted in the Gallery that should show the filler location .
The tank was bought off eBay . It is a plastic 21 gallon tank that seems to be the same as most aftermarket 21 gallon tanks that Brothers and LMC offers .

Re: Questions about gas tank relocation

Okay I viewed the pictures of the '65 stepside but one question I have is where if the filler neck and door located. Did you have to relocate the brace that connects the bed to the frame to clear the filler neck or how did you go about relocation? I purchased my tank from lmctruck and had to have the filler neck on the passenger side instead of the driver's side due to the way the bed bolts to the frame.

Well if you were talking about mine, it isn't finished yet. I have a fleetside bed going on it and it will probably have a hidden fill.
