Arrow Q's about door profile and mirrors

currently i have big 4-leg camper mirrors on my truck and i want to put a set of "dumbo" mirrors on. going to the yard soon and need to know what year and model vehicle (i.e. burb, blazer, van, etc.) fit the contour of a 74 door? did the door shape change at all between 1/2 to 3/4 ton. i've heard the van mirrors have a tighter armature. the problem is i can't fit the truck through my garage door without turning my mirrors in. thanx for the help.

Re: Q's about door profile and mirrors

any of the pickup /blazer dumbo mirrors will fit any 73-87 door for the pickups the thing you definately want to do tho is to get the little squiggly brace ( kinda shaped like a comma ) that goes from the mirror side of the door to the inner dore of the door which braces it and holds the dumbo mirror steady so it dont vibrate

Re: Q's about door profile and mirrors

You can get them off the 88-91 R\V Burbs, Blazers 3/4 Ton, 1Ton and Crew Cabs also. The R/V's were the same bodystyle.

Re: Q's about door profile and mirrors

If I ever get going again, I am working on mounting the Street Scene style mirrors onto my factory below eye-level mirror bases. That way I don't have to fill the stupid holes in my doors, when I put in smaller mirrors.
