Right front brake line hose on '73, how the ff...

The Haynes manual sucks on this aspect. It doesn't tell me anything helpful. How the hell do you get the U-clip off? It seems improbable to get a wrench or anything in there, and I'm not sure if it pries off. Dumb question, but I don't want to mess anything up.

What's the right way to go about this?

Correction, not a/the u-clip. It's on the inside of the frame rail that connects the rubber line to the hard line.

On the little L shaped bracket on the framerail? Should just be a thin metal clip that you pry off.

It's more like a threaded washer/nut. Not pryable. I might take pics later.

But anyway, problem solved. Took a sawzall to the outside frame rail, a grinder to the remaining part of the outside of the hose, and a hammer and punch. I'm having a bit to eat before finishing it.

I'm beginning to work the sawzall into more and more of my projects. Hmm...

Sawzalls are great. The battery-powered ones are even better when you're junk-yardin'.
