from street avenger to.......
went back to the Carter today until we can get Holley to figure out why this thing never runs the same from one minute to the next. Been messing with it for 2 months now.

You can't use a carter off road though... A q-jet would probably be better. At least on a 4x4.

The Holley I got is a Street Avenger Off Road. Guy at Holley said they would get it right. This carb will run good up to 45 degree angles. LOL I guess when ya get it dialed in. It wont even run on the level now

Truck Avenger
I also bought one of these and was a bear to get the float windows level but after 2 hours of taking the adj. screw out got it to level out. Now i have a problem with the choke not coming off when i tap the pedal. Guess i will have to rotate the cove a few clicks. Only gets -25 here so guess i may wait for summer or find a garage to fix it. Could just be too cold for it now sure yet. Have to find its "sweet spot".

I have the air gap intake and it takes forever for it to warm up here. Got the carter on it right now and the truck has to be 140 degrees before it will run on its own. gonna get this holley lined out.

Dan, Holleys are nice if you know how to set them up. thats the trick once you get it though I love em
