Saw a 88-98 SWB with a C4 Corvette IRS setup. Probably a closer match for these trucks.

Agreed. If you really wanna take on the project of fabbing up an IRS setup in the rear, go with a vette setup. It'll be much easier, and it's still chevy.
It does look cool on bagged trucks though, to see negative camber in the rear as well as the front! |

i love the indboard brakes. I wouldnt think it would be too bad. I have seen it on S10's, 67-69 camaros and a few ratrods.

Here's a pic of an that 88-98 SWB I was talking about. This truck was on ebay a long time ago but I saved the pics because I really liked it. You can see the C4 rear fits pretty well.
