Hey guys, Merry Christmas. Had some free and easy time yesterday and decided to fix a bunch of the "little things" that had been bugging me. Tied up some wires under my dash, relocated a switch, rerouted my washer lines and installed some modern washer nozzels in the hood. I also built a better bracket for my return spring and lowered my fast idle. WOW... that made a difference. The blazer is running great and I can even wash the road crap off my windshield. Isn't it funny how things seem to work well when you don't HAVE to make something work... Spent 3 or 4 hours just piddling around and it was FUN.

Congratulations! I imagine that's a great feeling. I say I imagine because I wouldn't know. Every time I try and fix something, something else gets taken apart. It's a vicious cycle

Fixin' it 'til it's broke.....

I have the bed off of my truck, and today I took the lower (wide) moulding off of it....for the first time since it was new. Reason I know? Black paint beneath it.....original black paint. It was repainted white, probably in the late 80's, then primed over the white before I bought it in late '99.

Geeze....seems like only yesterday....

modern washer nozzles in the hood?! any pics? what did you use?

I have been toying with the idea of some off a early 90's ford truck.

I was at one of the big chains looking for some 3/16 hose barbs and noticed the LED nozzles. I wasn't really into that, but got me to ask the guy and they had some in the "help" parts section. A little pricey at $15, but they worked really well. I'll do some pics tomorrow if the snow lets up... I mounted them as close as I could to the back brace of the hood There are also braces that run front to back that are a little over a foot from each side of the hood. I mounted them at the outside intersection of the braces. Felt a little funny drilling the hood, but once installed, they look like they were meant to be there.

Glad to hear you were able to get a couple of things finished. I was able to at least get a break from the weather and get the truck out and drive it around the block to make sure everything is still working properly.
