Stance Change?
I am in the process of putting a 396/400 turbo into my C10 which had a 250 6 3 speed. The stance was 2.5 front with drop spindles 3.5 rear before changing engines. What change do you think I will see in the stance because of the engine/trans weight difference. Also, do I need to change the front springs to springs for a BB? Thanks

Re: Stance Change?
Probably depends on how old your springs were before the swap. It'll drop the front down some, but I don't think you will notice a whole lot if the springs are pretty new.

Re: Stance Change?
Big block trucks used heavier front coils,so it will sit a bit lower.Probably about an inch. All your lowered coils come with the same lighter rating. You have stock springs, right? So,if you don`t like how it sits you can get 3/4t springs. That`s basically what the factory did. But,as mentioned, consider that your original springs may have settles and just installing new 1/2t coilsmay bring it back up.But,they`ll settle sooner than the BBC/3/4t springs.
It would be alot simpler if these trucks were new. You`re kinda on your own.I`d do the swap and see how it looks and go from there. You may like it.New 1/2t springs would take a long time to settle if you don`t drive it all the time.

Re: Stance Change?
Yeah, Special-K I have stock springs. I guess my concern is handling in corners, braking etc. Phalf70Step they are the original springs so they have a mile or 2 on them. Thanks guys for your input.

Re: Stance Change?
I doubt you'll even notice much in the handling department... this things don't exactly pull hard in the corners.
