Making a K/5
I have two junker K/5s,a`70 and a`72.The bodies are rough and I have no desire to bring these back to life.
I was thinking to save one frame and build a body out of whatnot.Maybe one windshield frame will be useable if not the whole cowl.I was thinking of a full-time topless fun machine, bikini top only.I could take a pickup cab and bedsides to make up a body. The one Blazer has pretty decent sides(arches good)with only the typical rust behind the door.I don`t care how patched up the floor is.I just want a trail rig that i`ll tag and bash around in. Has anyone ever seen this done or thought about it?I want it to look Blazer-like.I just don`t need a top to fit or have it matter if it`s the exact dimensions. It`ll never have a civilized interior or anything close to original.I just want a short open top 4wd bucket.

Re: Making a K/5
Tim,
Is one of those Blazers the one that was sitting at your Mom's place up on the mountain?

Re: Making a K/5
Cool idea, sounds like a fun build. Good time of the year to go get it, wasn't it covered in poisen ivy or briars?
Reminds me of the mule eating briars line by 70'

Re: Making a K/5
Sounds like a cool project. I would put the body on it and just start cutting. The newer trail rigs are cut to heck and back. You could run a large tire with little lift. Sound fun post up some pics of the body's and get to building man.
