Engine Swap Manual to Auto ???

I am swapping out my engine and tranny from a 350/4spd granny to 350/700r4. I have a two piece driveshaft and would like to know how much needs to be cut or is there something else I can use in place of this drive shaft. Please just point me in the right direction. I have read the 700r4 installs but nobody comes right out and says what they did during their swap...

Well, the 700r4 is 3 inches longer than a 350 turbo short shaft. So, I'm thinking 3 inch cut off the front drive shaft. Although, you might want to measure both trannys to make sure. Or, wait and measure the length you need after you install the 700. I'm going to be doing the same swap in the Spring. Now, I have a one piece drive shaft that came off a 84 burb that I hope I can use. It is 1" shorter than needed with the 700r4. I won't be sure of the fit until I get it installed.
