Head Light Mount Buckets

does any one know if the 73 chevy pickup has the same head light bucket as the 72 c/10? the reason i am asking is i cant find knew buckets for my 72. i ordered new ones from lmc, but they were for any earlier model. i called everyone i could think of and was told by all that the 72 bucket has not been reproduced yet. i called the local chevy dealer and was told they can only go back to 73. so if the 72 and the 73 are the same i can order them from the chevy dealer.

Why do you need new ones? Are you talking about the metal part or the stainless?

i need the actual buckets the head light sits in. mine are old and the slots for the adjusting screws are weak and easy to bend, when i adjust the head lights they sometimes pop out of the slot. i thought about buying used but that may put me in the same position

Re: Head Light Mount Buckets

Seems like all 67-72 buckets would be the same except for the gmc's of course.

they are definitetly not the same, i bought new from lmc. the diff is the 72 has a slot for the retaining spring. the 67-69 has the slot cut out and there is no place for the spring to connect
