I want to buy a compressor and a sand blaster to do my own sandblasting on my truck. I was looking at a Eagle compressor with 12.5 cfm at 100 lbs. and a 100us sand blaster. Would the compressor be big enough to keep the sand blaster going? Thanks in advance,your advice and experience is appreciated.

Sandblasters use a LOT of air. If the sandblaster your looking at is a pressure pot blaster you could probably get by with that compressor. If its a siphon type forget it. It wont come even close .

I have a 80 gallon vertical two stage that wont make enough air for my 110 pound pot blaster. I think i am gonna buy another and manifold them together. I would recommend something over 20 cfm for blasting.

I would recommend a twin stage 60 gallon as a minimum. This will run most booths, and the small pressure pots (like Harbor Freight sells). I blast weekly with mine. It is an Ingersoll Rand T30

Don't buy one of those cheapy $400 coleman single stage 6.5 horsepower 60 gallon vertical compressors, I hate mine. It won't keep up with anyting.
