Re: road race trucks?
Maybe like a Craftsman truck (Nascar) take the 87 Wrangler body, mount it on a used race car chassis. The nascar chassis uses truck trailing arms like the 67-72 trucks with a 9" ford floater rear axle. Drop in a 302 zapper chevy engine and munsey 4 speed buckle up and hang on.

Re: road race trucks?
in order to make it really work you're going to have to do major surgery to the firewall and the dash to allow for enough engine setback which will allow a better weight bias and let it actually perform rather than just looking the part.

Re: road race trucks?
The SCCA guys around here will not allow the full size trucks. S10's can. I wouldnt want to my truck, however, I would like to get it on road atlanta sometime.

Re: road race trucks?
How do you get your hands on an old craftsman truck anyway ? I've seen some on ebay but I always wondered how to get one from the source.
