HI all. GREAT SITE! I have been looking here for a few months druling all over this screne. Here is my problem i have a 1968 GMC 4x4 (not really into 4x4) anyway i was wondering if i should started getting it home or sell it. Its in Ky. and i live in Va. your opion is greatly appreciated i am trying to attach a picture thanks again. Guess pic didnt come up!

Welcome from Tennessee.

Now, to try to answer your question. Whether you keep it or sell it would depend on several factors. First of all, if your not "into" 4x4s, then maybe it's not for you. The other factors would be what kind of shape it's in versus your skill level in getting it like you would want it. Is it worth it? What about how it's optioned? How much are you will ing to spend?

Lots of questions and YOU are the one that will have to honestly answer.

Thanks for the reply. its in pretty good shape from what i have seen on here for trucks that have set around fo 15 years its starts and runs but it needs breaks the usual rust

Well, I really want a 4x4 so I would keep it. I don't know about where you live, but they are really rare here. It just depends on what you want. If you got a good price on it, I would just bring it home and decide what you would want to do with it, and who knows, you may decide you like it. At least if it were methat's what I would do.

Here's his truck...don't look too bad to me.
One of the things i would look at, can you replace it in VA for what you'll get out of in in KY?
Myself, i would try to find a way to get it home, it looks kinda rough, but it is a 67 which is cool, and a GMC which makes it cooler. (no side markers and small back window makes it a 67...did you get a title with it?)

LONGHORN, YES I HAVE HAD THE TITLE FOR A FEW YEARS NOW IT IS NOW TITLED IN VA. IT IS A 68 THANKS

if its a 68 then someone has done swapped a bunch of parts...it sure looks like a 67

That is a 67 model year GMC ! Some states are funny about titles though. It may have been that the vehicle was orginally sold in 68 even though it is a 67 model year truck so it ended up with a 68 title in the state that it was originally sold in and that has followed it ever since.

C_U_Later, that looks like a short wheelbase 67 to me - in my opinion, VERY rare! If you have some mechanical ability, quite a bit of spare time, a place to do the work, some $10K and want an excellent truck once your done, I suggesat that you restore it!

Fair warning thought - if you go this route though, be prepared to be addicted to these things (like the rest of us who visit this board) by the time the job is complete.

Can you post teh VIN of that thing? The cab, front fenders, and rear fenders are all off of a '67.
