1969 K5 Blazer - Up In a Blaze!
We were just a few days from completion on our 1969 Blazer. The shop (not our shop) burned to the ground with our Blazer in it! A total loss!!!
Its was gonna be in the world of wheels show here on Jan 11th. Sucks! really sucks bad! No insurance yet either!

Re: 1969 K5 Blazer - Up In a Blaze!
But why wouldn't the shop's insurance cover it? |

Re: 1969 K5 Blazer - Up In a Blaze!
The shop is not always liable - it depends on what kind of shopkeepers insurance policy they have
In this case, i hope they have the right type of policy though, or you will have to sue them. Even the best working relationships get strained when it comes to sacking up for a big loss like that

Very sorry for your loss!
Odds are good there will be a line of people with claims of their own; try to be at the front of that line and be the squeaky wheel about getting some compensation...

Re: 1969 K5 Blazer - Up In a Blaze!
Thanks for the comments. Yes the shops insurance company says they have insurance but the total liability for the fire is $30k and the Blazer was one of 6 vehicles totally lost. Thats not gonna work! The Blazer was worth 25K itself...

Re: 1969 K5 Blazer - Up In a Blaze!
That is just a shame. It looked like a really clean straight
K5. The color is awesome! I agree with Bouncy, your gonna have to go the lawyer route. I imagine they had over30K in tools. If the other rides in there were as nice as yours its probably a loss of 250,000 or more in vehicles. I hope it all turns out ok, I'm prayin' for ya. |
