Cool old 72 3/4 ton fire truck on ebay - low miles!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-...spagenameZWDVW

Price is a bit steep for something with such limited use, but looks like a real nice truck.

That is some serious truck especially with its duty package. I hope a fireman buys it. You could also start a flood clean up truck also with that pump.

I wonder how much all the fire fighting equipment off that truck could be sold for.

Re: Cool old 72 3/4 ton fire truck on ebay - low miles!

Interesting spid label. Notice the assembly plant is a "1" not a standard letter. I wonder where that would be? I would have thought this to be Janesville since the truck was probably ordered for fire truck conversion in the northeast and then the codes are all the older short codes used before 72? Looks like it had a special paint code probably calling out for the true fire engine red paint which is more of the apple red instead of the red orange standard option. That glove box label just doesn't look right to me but back then anything was possible.

Thanks for sharing, that was pretty cool, I would have to be a volunteer firefighter.
