4L80E instead of 4L60E

Ok for you guys that have the GENIII motors have anyone of you put in a 4L80E instead of the 4L60E and if so what did you have to do different in the install?

Re: 4L80E instead of 4L60E

Just swapped a '60 out for an '80 in my buddy's truck. Different crossmember, different converter, conversion flywheel (or a 4L80E flywheel with a crank spacer.) Wiring harness has to be changed around a bit too. Nothing major, and Speartech makes the conversion pieces for the harness. Lengthen trans cooler lines. Pretty easy swap, IMO.
