1961 Wheel Question
My friend has a sweet original 61 Apache stepside. The truck has two different type wheels on it now with no hubcaps. I am looking for some pictures of the correct steel wheels, wheel color, and style of hubcaps.
Thanks for any info. |

Re: 1961 Wheel Question
The wheels with clips and the wheel with bumps are both correct for 1961.The wheel with clips(optional) are the older style heavy duty version, while the wheel with bumps are the newer style.Came with 5 matching wheels when new.Sales brochures are the best way to research vehicle when new.

Re: 1961 Wheel Question
Thanks Guys!
The truck has one wheel with the clips around the inside hub and 3 with the bumps all painted black with no hub caps. |

Re: 1961 Wheel Question
I found some pictures of a 61 with hub caps in a book I got recently.
You don't see these re-produced or for sale very often. They looked like the picture below. I would imagine some where painted white too. |
