How I spent my summer vacation...
This is what I started with....(saved from being taken to the junkyard)
and this is what it looks like now...(it's taken more than just one summer vacation) Tell my what you think...(even though it's not done yet)

thanks for the comments...I bought the blazer from a man who just wanted the motor. I drug it home and I replaced grill, fenders, and hood. I had to put in a 350. It is all basically stock suspension for now... planning on a 4 inch lift. I have 33's on it now that fit close but don't rub. I need to complete the interior and put on some inner fenders. A buddy and me put the paint job on. I couldn't have put the windshied in without the help of the little lady (she helps on quite a bit). And of course my ole buddy Huck helps out now and then. Still plenty to do before I drive the h*** outta of it this summer. LOL

I like it! That's about the same color I'm going to put on mine. What color hardtop are you going to use? Also, nice rollbar. Is it Custom? Original to something?

Reminds me of Cheech & Chong's catholic high school bit with Sister Marry Elephant. Chong reads his summer vacation essay in front of a rowdy class :
"...First day of my summer vacation I woke up. Then I went down town to look for a job. Then I hung out in front of the drug store. Second day of my summer vacation I woke up. Then I went down town to look for a job. Then I hung out in front of the drug store. Third day of my summer vacation I woke up. Then I went down town to look for a job. Then I got a job...keeping people from hanging out in front of the drug store...."

the roll bars came out of another 72 blazer that someone parted out,he said they are original..i don`t think so...they have mounts for lights, guess the light mounts were an option
don`t know much else about it.no its not datsun red its a martin paint from napa, think its calles flash red. btw,it had a black top,but i painted it white,it don`t look like it will see it till next fall thou.
