C 60 bearing help

I recently bought a 63 C 60. The guy I got it from took the left rear hub off & miss placed the inner bearing. Is the C 40 & 50 series rear ends the same as the 60 series? Are the rear ends the same as the 67-72 C 40-60's. Where is a good place to buy parts for this truck. I tried the local napa & oriellys & got nowhere. I have no idea what kind of rear end this is. It is a 2 speed if that helps. Any help would be great
Thanks
Shane

Re: C 60 bearing help

The bearings in your rear are based on the weight rating of the axles. Oriellys can get them for you if you know the weight rating of the axle, and can find a parts man in the store. Just tell them it isn't in the computer get a book. If the P.O. left the race in the hub that could help you find the bearings.

Re: C 60 bearing help

Your local NAPA should have the books with these bearings, the one that I work at does so if you can't find it I'll see if I can find it tomorrow.

Do you know what rear end you have? I found the listing for the bearing but need to know what rear end you have.

I'm not sure what rear end I have. The truck is about an hour away from home. Can somebody get a pic of the 2 different types of rear ends?

Re: C 60 bearing help

Sorry I was thinking about the wrong post. The answer to this should help narrow it down. Does it have a few small bolts screwed in the end of the axle? a bunch of medium sized studs with nuts sticking out, Or a several Big studs sticking out the center?

Re: C 60 bearing help

Mine is different than the one in the pic. Mine is more like the 1 ton setup. The axle is splined where it goes into the hub & there is a cover that bolts over it.

Then it is between a 14000 lbs 17000 lbs. Do you happen to know what size tires are on it?

They are 20in rims. Not sure of the tire size.

Re: C 60 bearing help

They all run 20 inch rims but there is everything from a 7.25- 11.00x 20 it would be another hint as to the axle weight. at this time I would say your best bet is to pull the race and see what bearings fit that race between 14k and 17k There will probably only be one set. Your only other option is to crawl around the rear and find every set of numbers you can. Go to a gmc heavy truck dealerships parts room and they can find the right ones for you.

Re: C 60 bearing help

Inner bearing #B12235-YK this is a NAPA #. You have either a Rockwell Std G161 or G361 or you have an Eaton 22M, hope this helps!!
