Re: R&R Oil Pan Gasket on 250

I've done this job on my 77, which also has a 250. Like Fred said, you have to lift the engine a bit, but it's pretty easy from below (no hoist or hood removal needed). I also cleaned up and painted my pan, because these don't seem to be nearly as available as the small block ones....

You can also check the rod and main bearings from below. I replaced all my rod bearings at the same time.
