I think I got 'er fingered out....

Remember this fiasco....

Well I think I got 'er fingered out. After yanking, dropping and everything else in between. I finally threw my hands up and went to drown my sorrow away with alcohol like usual. Well, my brother of all people made a suggestion and I literally ran back to the garage and he was right. The new motor mounts I bought were about 1/4 higher than the old ones. swapped them out, they fell back into the old "groove" and the bolts lined up perfectly.

Re: I think I got 'er fingered out....

I had that happen when I went swap a 350 into my old El Camino. The 350 that I bought had the engine mounts already on.Score, less work......WRONG!!they were truck mounts and not car mounts.I had to swap the engine mounts off of the 305 onto the 350 to get it to work.I know your pain man.It took about a half hour to figure that one out.Anger really does blind you lol
