Re: Loop Carpet

you can get rolls of loop carpet. I contacted Auto Custom Carpets, these are the guys alot of the vendors use. I used the formed carpet for the front of my panel but I needed just plain flat stuff for the rear. They said no problem selling it to me. Just let em know how much. I believe the price was pretty reasonable too.

You can probably get it locally too. If you want to try these guys I see their ad in the magazines all the time. Sometimes they are offer pretty good specials.

Yeah I remember that also, because he did one for me and you couldn't tell the difference. Very nice job. Do a search SPID labels. See what you come up with.
Hey as for the carpet. Go to your local uhpolstery shop and get it. They might have some laying around or can get it for you. I can get it because I do uhpolstery work but after shipping and all it wouldn't be worth it for me to get it for you.

Re: Loop Carpet

If a truck comes with a rubber floor cover is it best to leave it in and put the carpet over or do you rip it all out and put a sound deadner in and then carpet?? Or just carpet??

I guess that could depend on the condition of the floor covering and the cab floor under it. Personally, I would take it out to make sure that the cab floor was in good condition. After years of use, there's probably tons of dirt and debris under the matting. And if I was to spend the money for good carpeting, I'd want a good, clean under layment.

Re: Loop Carpet

actually, no. The rubber is the worst ting you can have on the floor. Water doesn't get out, and it then causes rust.
