looking for seat advice

I have a leather tahoe 3rd seat for the rear what do you guys think I should do with the front? I will probably end up going with 99 + bucket seats to match although, at this point I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks

Re: looking for seat advice

I think they look nice with the later model seats if you remove the head rests.

Unhappy Re: looking for seat advice

I put later model leather seats in my 85 k5 on top of the factory brackets. I didnt remove the headrests and a very smart friend of mine broke the windshield for me when she was exiting from the back seat.

Re: looking for seat advice

Has anyone ever used seats similar to these? I'm still not sure which way I'm going to go with my truck, I might end up selling the rear tahoe seat.
Thanks for the link, I have looked at your page many times before, your blazer looks awesome.

Also does anyone make a seat like this that would be the right size for our trucks?

Re: looking for seat advice

I'm putting the 99+ seats with the integrated seat belts. I wouldn't mind taking the head rest out but the problem is I'm not sure what it would look like with the seat belt part higher then the seat back.

Re: looking for seat advice

I have the MasterCraft Rubicons in mine, the brackets are the hardest part. They make a wider back seat for Blazers. I called them to get a price and check on covers for my seats and its about 500 for the back seat. But as for the front they are very comfortable and like the look. You will find all the seats of that style are about the same price assuming they are a suspension seat.

Re: looking for seat advice

I went with a 98 extended cab seat for the front. It's a 60/40 bench with a fold-down armrest. Since it came out of an extended cab without the third door, it tilts and slides. I made a bracket to allow me to use the stock mounting holes in the floor and I have about 6" of forward slide as well as the tilt on both sides. It doesn't hit the windshield.

The rear is a Suburban seat (I think it was around a 90) that's a pretty close match to the front seats.

Re: looking for seat advice

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with the rear yet but the fronts are out of a 05 reg. cab chevy truck, console and all. I'm thinking a 3rd row out of a burb or tahoe.

Re: looking for seat advice

I think those are the seats that I'm going to get as well. I would be interested in more install pics if you have any available. I already have the 3rd row seat for the rear. I'm going to do fatmat and carpet when I put the seats in.

Check out my build thread, second or third page, I think, lol. Its not too hard, I had plenty of access, lol. You can access the inner by pullin' the back of the torsion box off. I put the seat in place marked and drilled my holes. Then welded some nuts to nice big fender washers. Bolted them to the floor, drilled some holes through the floor into the washers and welded them to the floor.
