Where to get new hood bolts - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

For some reason when I took my hood off, I didnt put the bolts back in the hood.. and now I have no clue where they could be... anyone know where to get some, or if I can just use any old bolt, what size they need to be? Thanks

the bolt hole is a regular 3/8 hole... if you want to be o/e then the bolt has tapered threads on the end, but and 3/8 bolt will work.

Also I've been suprised to find the occasional oem stye bolts in the racks at Auto Zone or Pep Boys even after I made the trip to the junk yards

if you dont have 4 3/8bolts in your shop go buy a dozen so you'll have them for the next time you need some
