Fuel Line Size?
Hey guys,
I am in the process of a motor upgrade from a 2bbl 305 to a 4bbl 250hp 350. The original fuel line from the in cab gas tank is a 5/16 line. I want to replace this line with a new one. Is a 5/16 line acceptable for my new 250hp motor, or should i use a 3/8 line?....thanks.....rick |

Re: Fuel Line Size?
if you had a 305 V-6, then you should have the 3/8 line.
5/16ths will be plenty. |

Re: Fuel Line Size?
For the 350 go to 3/8" line.

Re: Fuel Line Size?
yea, 3/8 seems the way to go, but will I have to change the sending unit?

Re: Fuel Line Size?
Andy, the 305 was installed by PO donated from a 76 camaro. I pulled a 5/16 fuel line out of the frame rail, so i assume that the truck originally had a inline 6 in it. I thought all V8's came with a 3/8" line?...Rick

Re: Fuel Line Size?
Nope, the small v-8 and I-6 had 5/16 lines. Stay with what you have. The 350's did have 3/8. I don't think you need 3/8 unless you're feeding 350 plus hp. MHO

Re: Fuel Line Size?
I feed a dyno'd 500HP BBC with the stock fuel line from a 69 frame with a 292.....No need for upgrade...
