I used the beaded material plus a good Ureathane sealer in making sure it would not leak between the fender and bedside. Although it does not leak, I am dreading the day when I have to remove a fender as it will probably be stuck.
If I had it to do over, I would go with a good layer of 3M strip caulk without the beaded material. Jim
