seats in k5, whatcha running?

I am thinking of sourcing other factory seats for my 87 k5. Want somthing that is adaptable to the factory base, dont want to drill more holes in floor. What else is everyone running?

Just about any seat that is not a K5 seat you will have to drill more holes. I put 03 chevy truck seats in mine and I could only use two stock holes on each side.

Re: seats in k5, whatcha running?

I've got 02 Silverado seats in mine. Stock holes. I used 1/4" flat steel as an adapter bracket on each end to bolt the Silverado seat and then to the stock K5 tub. I will say though, if I could have got away with going to the tub with just drilling a couple of holes I might have. But, with a full convertible my rocker boxes are in the way of the outside set of holes. I couldn't reach to add a nut or add any support.

My brackets do add some needed support to the floor though. Keep in mind the K5 tub wasn't really designed with the seat and seat belt being one complete unit. The floor needs help if you plan on using a silverado seat with integrated seat belt setup.

Same here. I used 1/4" plates and mounted the adjustable 88-91 sliding Blazer seats to my 78 Jimmy
