Has anyone ever used these to raise or lower the stance of your truck?

I was considering this to be a cost effective method of lowering 1" in the front and 3" in the rear (if that's possible with these clamps).

Certainly not the best way to do it, but I've used them in the past and had them on for a couple years with no problems.

I don't quite see the "danger"....maybe with installing or removing them.

if they were a big danger, the bigger parts stores wouldn't carry them due to the liability issue.

I've also ran them......they are what you pay for....not bad till you can for the cash.

Those things are so F*ing stupid. the previous owner stuck two pairs of those things on each spring on my VW GTI and it made for the absolute worst F*ing ride on the planet.

Use at your own risk. I'll never put those on any of my rides.

For an inexpensive drop that wont give any problems, you can run a 2" block/longer U bolts in the rear of a coil spring setup, & cut 1 coil of the bottom of the front springs(2- 2 1/4" drop). you will need to trim the bumpstops up front, & use a tractionbar snubber for the new stops. This may not be the stance you are looking for, but the ride wont suffer from it....crazyL
