Door Panel Question

I have a 71 Blazer and I bought 72 door panels cleaned them up painted them and today I installed them but the panels stick out to far and I can't get the keeper on the door handle and window crank to snap in place...did I screw up trying to put 72 panels in a 71? I'm assuming the regulators are different? Any suggestions

Re: Door Panel Question

I thought they were the same. Check out LMC's website and see if they have a different part number for the different years.

Re: Door Panel Question

You need the 72 door parts to work with 72 inner door panels. They are different than 67-71s..

No not really, you just gotta really push to engage the snap ring.

It's not the "correct" way to do it but it will work, I've done it.

72's have longer shafts to accommodate the formed plastic door panel.
