There is a bed for sale on the parts board that had flush mount tail lights in it. The lights are out of it now but you can still get an idea of what they looked like.....

I found the thread:

Re: flush mount stepside

Don`t hack the fenders...bad idea.I`ve seen it done for years only to look dumb years later(after bunging up a good pair of fenders).Kinda like cut dashes and sunroofs.

I agree. Go with nice new stock light or an old set from a 60-66. Even a chrome housing gives it some class

I think it can be done tastefully, but smaller chromed lights mounted like the originals can look really good also.

Re: flush mount stepside

This is the best example I've seen. I believe they are 70-73 Camaro tails from Marquez Design:

Re: flush mount stepside

I've heard of guy's grafting in the tailights from a SSR. I haven't actually seen how it turns out, but it may be an interesting twist.
If I had a stepper, i'd leave the fenders alone and french in some lights from a '60-'64 Impala into a nice roll-pan.

i sorta agree with this. if you choose the wrong lights iw wont look the best.

BUT i do like when they french some small lights into them

to each its there own and its yer truck do what you want.

and i dont nderstand why no one likes cut dashes . im proud of my cut dash.

Re: flush mount stepside

Not sure what these lights were originally from but they fit the contour perfectly. I don't know if I'll keep them though. I like the frenched in lights.
