CAUTION Ebay auction scam auction running now!

I was just notified by ebay that this is not a real auction running. When I asked for a picture of the other seat, I checked MY Ebay and sure enough, the reply didnt show up in MY MESSAGES through ebay

Incase my link doesnt work, They are green 69-72 type with no rips. I wish I knew a way to post this throughout the entire board, I is getting bids. Hope it is no one on the board. Sorry about my limited computer skills.

John, If you asked the seller a question It goes to his e mail as well as his my messages in e-bay so If he answered you from his email, which some people do, It won't show up in your messages on ebay only your email.I think what your talking about is if someone is acting like ebay asking for your info expect it to show up in your my messages.What did the seller respond when you asked him about the other picture? thanks for the heads up DST

The seller has a 99.2% feedback score so I don't think it's a scam.

Go to Ebay section MY Ebay.
Click My Mssages, Check your recieved mail and sent mail. If corospondences dont show up, then they are not real Ebay transactions. I did the same, I got more pictures. All I did was to try to thank the seller for the pictures by hitting the respond button. Ebay immediatly replied with a warning that this is a non existing auction. Thats when I went to My Messages and found none of our contacts there. I contacted Ebay and changed my password. This is the part that I hate to admit, but I have been sucessfully scammed on Ebay before. If you surf the Ebay site enough, You will finally find a phone # to contact a real live person about the auction. If you go to the scam section of Ebay, It will instruct you just the same way as I have, and ways to protect yourself. If you have never done this, Its a real good Idea to just visit and learn how to be careful on the site! I have been an Ebayer for 10 years, and am pretty good at it but it seems that the crooks are getting better at it as well. Hope I'm Wrong, but I dont believe that I am. Good luck! Ebay hasnt yet sent me the their investigation summary.I'll update when Ebay contacts me.

Thanks for the "heads-up" on that one. If I had a truck with 29,000 miles on it...I would not be pulling those seats to sell...LOL!

I just tried my picture response again. If you have recieved resopnse pictures, go back to that email, and try sending a simple thanks for the picture reply, push the send on his response page, and see if you get the same warning. Good luck! I'm not an ebay expert, I'm hoping that I'm wrong. Just a heads up.

One final thought, Because I'm not sure, If you are interested in the auction, Ebay will investagate. If it is a scam everything you have done concerning the auction will simply disapear. If it is found to be a legetimate auction, Ebay will allow it to run its course.Just push the Watch This Item, and see what happens. Hopefully it will end on time for those interested in bidding on the seats. They are nice!
