Re: rear wheel tubs

Yes, the rear wheel tubs in the box are the same between pickup and Blazer.

The '72 Blazer I took appart didn't appear to have sealant; I'm not sure if the factory put any in.

Re: rear wheel tubs

Yes the factory used something bt. the wheel tubs and floor. It's body sealer, should be able to find it at any body shop supply store.

Re: rear wheel tubs

I don't know what the factory used but you can pick up a tube of 3M seam sealer. I work at a body shop and we use the 3M "fast n firm" seam sealer. Just follow the directions. You can prime it, sand it, and paint it. Hopefully this helps. Mario

Use grease, keeps the rust away.

Re: rear wheel tubs

Of the 8 or so blazers I've parted out, every one had some type of body sealer between the floor and the quarter to the tub. Don't use house caulking as it doesn't do a good job of preventing moisture build. 3m seam sealer works great from what I've seen.

Re: rear wheel tubs

Which one looks like the one anyone has used?

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...be6DTWTJQPBBgl

I need to re-seal the cab because the sealant at the drip edge is cracked and falling out. Should I use seam sealer or something else?

Thanks!

Frank
