Need a little 88 tbi help !!

I just installed a new motor in my 88 k1500, I just had to put my intake on and oil pan. The problem I am having is very rough idle when I first start and until Its warms!! (Acts like its flooding)Going down the road I have no problems. Then when I stop at a red light and have to wait over 10 or 15 sec
It go back to rough idleing until I move or put it in nuetral and give it a little gas, and it will smooth out. I have cheched for vacuum leaks and have fought nothing. Its like (when its warm) at idle if it has a pull on the engine at all it goes crazy!! What would be some suggestion I should do or check. Thanks in advance. Brian

Have you checked to see if the ECM has stored any trouble codes?

It sounds like it could be a coolant temp sensor issue. The ECM uses the coolant temp sensor by the T-stat to determine how much fuel to inject.

Do you have an ohm meter to test the sensor if I give you specifications?

I am fairly sure you will need to replace the coolant temp sensor located next to the thermostat housing to fix it. This is classic symptons of a bad one. I have seen one so bad it would not pull itself over a flat driveway until it warmed up.
