I’m in the process of plumbing my air bags on my ’72 blazer and I noticed that when its layed out the rear end is not centered. It’s much closer on the driver’s side. Will a shorter panhard bar correct this? If so, how do I know which one to buy?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but you want a longer bar, not a shorter one. The longer it is, the less movement you will get. Also, don't worry if your rearend is not centered when you're laid out. It shouldn't be. It should be setup so your all centered at ride height. Then as you move up or down from your ride height, you will get movement from center.

I looked up bars at Summit and a saw that they had about a dozen choices from $85 to $200. Any recommendations?

It's a little off at ride height, but it makes my tire kiss the inside of my fender when aired out.

for bolt on, I would recommend to go to earlyclassic.com and check out the super track bar.

What you really need is a "Watts link". A panhard bar will always be off-center at some point in the suspension travel of a 'bagged vehicle. You can get an adjustable bar, but that only lets you decide "where" it is right. The more travel you have in your suspension, the greater the effect.

A sliding, wish-bone type 3rd link will work too. It depends upon your fab skills and the available space under your truck, but you could do either.

I'm surprised it's closer on the driver's side when "air'd out". I would think it would shift to the passenger side. Try the Super Track Bar from ECE. It's longer than the stock bar (for less movement),... and is a bolt on. But you will still get movement. And the reaseon it's longer,... is because it attaches to the passenger side trailing arm.

I agree...the watts IS the way to go....

I am seriously rethinkin the panhard in mine. I am leaning towards the watts also.

If it will not fit, you can go with the sliding wishbone, in the front of the axle.

I had to fab-up this one because my customer had me install this massive 14-bolt into his truck....

This 67 has an aluminum rear tank...and it fits PERFECT.....

www.speedwaymotors has one for like 70 bucks. It goes off the top of the axle. You could make your own diff. bracket though.

That one from speedway might be goot on a 9" I dont know about mounting that top bracket on GM diff where the center section is cast. I'd take some mesurements and call KP to see if it would fit, Clint seems to know his s#!t.
