Sat pics (1-26) Let's try it again!

Well, last weeks pics bombed after I posted them in three different forums and exceeded my bandwith. I guess I'll have to consider upgrading my account so my bandwith will be unlimited. In the meantime here's a couple more pics to hold you over for a while. I wasn't as pleased with these as I have been with some of the others I've posted. The sun was just going in and out so rapidly it was difficult to line up anything really nice. In some of the shots it looks like the roof of the truck is disappearing into the sky. I'm going to have to play with the settings on my lil point and shoot camera to see if I can work around that in the future. Anywho....Here we go!

I know I know! Always keep the sun behind your back! Which I didn't do here but I really wanted this shot with grown up roadbed behind the truck.

I tried it again with the flash to try to get some of the shadow off the front. It helped but still didn't work out like I wanted.

I've still been playin around trying to get just the right amount of tilt to the lens. Am I getting any closer?

Re: Sat pics (1-26) Let's try it again!

Thanks guys! The lift is a 4" Skyjacker softride with all springs, no blocks. The pics from last week probably won't show up again until the 19th of next month when my account resets. I could upgrade the account for like $25 a year but I don't know if I'm going to do that. I've had a few requests for calendars to pay for the account upgrade but I don't know if that's going to happen either. I have also considered selling the full sized images to generate a bit of revenue. I often get requests from members for the full sized images to be emailed so they can be blown up and used for wallpaper or printing. But again, if I go that route it would more than likely set me up for having to pay a vendor fee to the board. Which I wouldn't have a problem doing, but I don't think I could sell enough at a couple bucks a piece to break even on the upgrade of the photobucket account and pay a vendor fee. Anywho, I'll keep the wheels turnin and the fires burnin and see what I can come up with! Check back later today and I'll have added the tinted pics for ya.

The pics are great, I agree with the lighting being off but the overall composition is good as always.

I believe I saw your truck at Goodguys ATL last year, I must have looked and admired it for 10 minutes! Nice pictures as usual.

Re: Sat pics (1-26) Let's try it again!

That truck must be my twin because I wasn't at Goodguys.....Of course I was out of town that week.......I guess someone could have came by and took my truck down there, but I kinda doubt it. I had planned to update this thread a bit sooner today but we got sidetracked. We drove 185 miles to Alabama to check out 2 swb 68 pickups that were for sale. There wasn't anything good there aside from the frames and one bedside. Oh well, here's the tints!

Re: Sat pics (1-26) Let's try it again!

Josh, I think you're the only one on this site who actually does this for a living, so why would I be mad? As a general rule I do try to keep the sun behind me as well as my own shadow out of the pics. I was kinda curious about what you thought about the pics I've been posting. It seems like a lot of people like em (and I appreciate that) but it's not what puts bread on their table. It's just something that I've been playing with. This round of pics is far from being my favorite. I will admit I never put a lot of thought in to getting all four wheels to show in the pics. I'll see what I can do for the next batch.
