Re: places to mount tweeters

mine are in the corners below the hole that is for shoulder belts about 8 inches below that. They look good there. Will try and post pics if I can get over there and take some.

Re: places to mount tweeters

For optimal sound, you don't want to put your tweeters no further that 6" from the woofer they came with. You could theorically put the tweet on the kick panel and call it good.

Good Luck

Re: places to mount tweeters

I took the clothes hanger off the passenger side and mounted the tweeter.

I measured the driver's side and mounted it at about the same spot. They sound good and you don't have to crank it up so loud to hear them.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: places to mount tweeters

wiring would be easy, stuff the wire into the hole, and when it drops out down by the cab corner, run it under the carpet or the chrome thresh plates and up to the radio.

Re: places to mount tweeters

I drilled a seperate hole for the wires and did as Longhorn Man suggested. Wasn't nothing to it.
Heavy70, where does the air come out at for the A/C?

Re: places to mount tweeters

Mounted mine real nice above the AC vents, used a heavy piece of bailing wire mounted to the vent screw and the speaker screw. Works like a charm and the placement of a tweeter is near perfect.

Re: places to mount tweeters

Put mine into the frame of the stock dash speaker. Recovered the top with black cloth.

Re: places to mount tweeters

I put mine in the pod's on top of the dash out by the doors. There small enough and with the dash pad being black there are not really noticeable.
