Amount of drop?

I just ordered 3" spindles, 2" springs, and a 5" flipkit for my 80. Has anyone got any pictures of a truck running a 5"/5" drop from stock height?

Thanks,
Wes

Re: Amount of drop?

I think this is really close to a 5/5 - Suburban, but the same thing.... (and NO this is not mine!)

Re: Amount of drop?

For a daily driver it's a decent height. Just stop getting use to putting the "bumps" under the truck, make sure they are on one side or the other! We have huge man hole covers here that will tear your truck to pieces cause they stick up so high above the street, watch for situations like that!

Just remember, you can always go lower!!

Re: Amount of drop?

Hey. I see you are in Olds, really close to me! My '87 has a 5" drop in the front via 3" spindles and 2" springs. The rear has a flip kit and 2 removed leafs w/ airbags. I think i get about 7 - 8" of drop in the rear when aired out. Here is a pik of it aired up so it's close to being 5" drop.

Yeah I'm just 35mins away from calgary. Very nice truck! How much drop would the 2 leafs taken out equal to? And which ones do I remove if I do remove some?

Thanks,
Wes

Re: Amount of drop?

I ended up with a 5/6 on my 78.. but at the time these shots were taken I had some tall 15in tires on it.
