Underhood paint colors
I am in the process of repairing, replacing, and cleaning up under the hood of my 71 Cheyenne (350/350). I want to paint some underhood components and was planning on using either or both of Eastwood's underhood black and/or chassis black paints.
Does anyone have any experience or opinions on which is a closer match to the original colors for the: core support? inner fenders? accessory brackets? oil fill tube? air cleaner? Can you even tell a difference between the two blacks? Thanks, Don |

Re: Underhood paint colors
Core support should be a chassis black, inner fnders are a flat black or chassis black as is the underside of the hood. The acc. brackets and other parts you listed should be the underhood black. The chassis black is a semi gloss and the underhood is flatter. NAPA has a good selection in their tec line sprays that are really close to eastwoods but cheaper and no shipping.

Re: Underhood paint colors
Thanks for the feedback. I'll take a look at the NAPA paints before ordering from Eastwood.
