New Project - 71 Jimmy

Just wanted to let the board know I'm finishing the 71 Jimmy that Huck started. I think I saw tears of joy as I trailered it out of his site...in the rear view I think he was doing summersaults in the front yard! LOL! It will be nice working on somthing thats clean and not full of the usual rust found around here. I'll take pics as the resto goes on.

Yes...body is solid. Need to get the brakes working 1st. I want to swap the open headers on the clean 307 for stock ramhorns before I run exhaust pipes so I'm looking for a set. Also needs a small amount of welding on back bed, doors and filling in trim holes around back lights, minor body work. Not too sure on the color but leaning to painting it a solid color like grey to match the color of the Ohio sky. I'll try and take pics and post so anybody interested in DIY painting can follow along & learn from my mistakes.

exhaust manifold

307 and 350 interchange? im putting shorty headers on my 72 and will gladly sell you the old manifolds if they will fit,planning on doing this within a few weeks,let me know
