Custom Seat Help...

I'm in the market for some custom buckets and center console set for my 71. I'm having trouble, does anyone know of a good place to either have one made or to buy one for a reasonable price? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Custom Seat Help...

A popular source is the '88-98 GM truck, but the supply of decent ones has dwindled quite a bit.

So, the next generation has been drafted. You should be able to pick up a decent seat, with or without console, bench or buckets, in leather or cloth, for under $500.

An aftermarket seat will probably run more money.

I bought a '98 Tahoe 2nd-row seat, in leather, for $125. I've heard of them going for $50.

Beyond that, it's your imagination. If you want buckets from a Caddy, just ante up and pick 'em out, then put 'em in.

Re: Custom Seat Help...

I have just put in a set of 2003 chevy truck leather power bucket seats and console in my 1970 and love them. They practicaly bolted right in very little mods. picked them up for 250$ at local swap meet last year

Re: Custom Seat Help...

Do the newer style seats have the seatbelts in the backrest? Do you have any pictures? That sounds like a good option.

Re: Custom Seat Help...

Yes the seat belts are built in just like a newer truck. I dont have pics but Im working on it. Im not the best on computers normaly my wife has to help me out but when I take some new pics I will get them on here for ya. I just put them in about a week and half ago, they are all power leather seats and I think they look great in the truck.
