Did some shopping at Early Classic Enterprises

Greetings folks. I took a 3 hour round trip to Fresno today and visited our friends at Early Classic Enterprises. I came home with a 2.5" drop spindles, 1.5" front coils, 6" rear coils (out of stock), super track bar kit, and front sway bar lowing kit and bushings. The people there are just as enthusiastic about 67-72 trucks as we are. They answered every "dumb" question a rookie like me had for them. I have to say it was a pleasant shopping experience. I highly recommend them friendly folks to you friendly folks. Mister E

E, the frame look great. It would be nice to be close enough to shop local. Good to know the folks at ECE are good to deal with, being iI have to mail order most of what I need.
Chevy One from the land of white, got 14" last night on top of the already 2+ feet. Its like driving through tunnels everywhere here!!!

Re: Did some shopping at Early Classic Enterprises

The frame is in ECE's show room and has rear coil's on one side and leaf springs on the other I have made the drive a few times (4hrs each way) but I normaly just call them up and mail order. I always deal with Stan only because I have meet him so I have a face to put with the voice. Plus I call so much he knows just what I am working on and can answer any questions I might come up with. He is also the guy who did both OverHauln trucks with Foose so he knows his stuff as do all the guys that work their. Some of the parts they sell are from other vendors but I would still rather order themn from ECE because of the great customer service I have always recieved.

Where are you at mister? I'm in Atwater, about an hour north of Fresno and work in Modesto about another 40 minutes further north. We might be pretty close.

P.S. Frame looks SWEET!!!

Re: Did some shopping at Early Classic Enterprises

I make the round trip every now and then from Sonora to ECE (4hrs), but I save on shipping with the larger items. The guys there are all great people and really know their business. I just installed their drop spindles, rotors, tranny crossmember and tie rods. Everything so far is top notch. Those guys rock.

Re: Did some shopping at Early Classic Enterprises

Yea, he's my big boy. He is a total truck guy. My wife drives a minivan and he always tells her "trucks rule, vans drool". If you ask him, he'll tell you the truck is his. I'm taking lots of pictures so he'll never forget the times we worked on it. The 72 will eventually be his: when he is old enough.

Re: Did some shopping at Early Classic Enterprises

Thanks for the motivation Mr. E.... I've been wanting to order my kit from them as well, but I haven't been able to yet due to the high bills that coincide with winter. I've talked with Stan before and he is a great guy.

Can't wait to see that kit on the frame, besure to post a lot of pics, I'd like to see how easy it is to install. Good luck, and keep that little guy in the mix with you. There's nothing better than working on a project with your son.

I hear about the bills. Get them bad boys paid and then put a little aside until the time is right. I've had my truck since January 2004 and slowly accumulating the parts I want so I can put it together once, my way. It will probably be another couple of years before she's running, but some folks will tell you "two years goes by in seconds". As a science teacher, its hard to explain that to eighth graders when it comes to the choices in life they make today. But, I do it anyways. I'll begin a build thread as soon as I gather up everything I need for the front suspension. Good luck. MisterE
