need help with wiring
I've installed a 350 010 block and transmission on the bare frame of my 71 c10 deluxe. Before putting on the Cab, bed, and fenders, i'd like to run the motor to see if there are any problems How do I wire the distributor, battery and alternator. Would appreciate any help you could give me. Jock |

if you are just running it for a short time, you dont need to have the alternator hooked up, just have a good battery attach the battery to the starter. You should have two switches; one switch hooked up to the starter and the other side hooked up to the battery, another switch hooked up inline with the coild and the battery. Then you should be able to run it long enough to make sure it runs

I'd put a couple rad hoses and connect them together (filled with water of course) even if it is only to run it for one min. The temp in there shoots WAY up[ after just a couple revolutions of the engine.
