Porterbuilt DM R&P Question

Nathan supplies the DM w/an extensive parts list to acquire all the necessary stuff for a DM installation. I'm trying to source my R&P locally from Autozone because I received several hundred dollars worth of AZ gift certificates on Xmas.

Searching @ the AZ website, I can find pwr R&P's but no listing for manual units. I tried cross referencing the supplied Unisteer P/N on a google search but didn't come up w/much. The one counter guy that answered some of my questions wasn't much help since 68 Chev trucks never came w/MII R&P's .

Does anyone have a P/N for a manual R&P that's not Unisteer brand?

Close. It's 6812 for the '79-up part. $305.99 w/ core though- yikes! I got my power unit out the door for $77...

Looks like Advance could save you a couple bux, but not a lot. When searching, try using '79 model 4 cyl. I think they only offered the manual rack up through '81 or so.

That's the model I was using..... 79 4cyl. manual application. When using that search info, it was only giving me pwr R&P P/N's; same w/the counter guy.

I just went back to do another AZ search w/that P/N. My log-in still had that selected vehicle in the search selection (79 2.8l 4cyl) & when I searched the steering/suspension category, the 2nd option listed that manual R&P.

It's weird it didn't come up before. The price is steep, but since I have $300 in gift cert's, it might work out. I only get what's absolutely necessary from them; everything else is from a GM specialist over near my work or from NAPA.
